What Can One Episcopal Church Woman Do? A lot!
The Millennium Development Goals are big and ambitious, no doubt about that. However, they also present us with wonderful opportunities to meet our obligation as Christians "to seek and serve Christ in all persons," and as Episcopal Church Women "to make known God's love throughout the world."
This is why the Executive Board of the Diocesan ECW has elected to make the MDGs a top priority for 2007-2009.
Don't worry, we're going to help you break it down so that no matter the resources of an individual or ECW branch there will be a variety of ways to meet the MDGs.
Over the next two years, at least, there will be on these pages and on our website suggestions about how and where to focus your MDG energy.
Remember, there is always a little more we can do, and that little bit more does not have to come at the expense of our earlier "call to action" and what's already being done on behalf of other ministries. This is how we, members of a missionary diocese, make disciples and make a difference.
